American Promotional Events are the good folks behind all the TNT, Red Devil, and Freedom fireworks. Their advertising and marketing needs are centered around 1 week of the year, just before the 4th of July. The objective- make TNT, Red Devil and Freedom Fireworks top of mind with consumers, and drive them to TNT charity stands to buy fireworks for the 4th. Target- adults 25-54, specifically parents with children. Very important to this campaign is the "Family Friendly" and charity aspect, as sales of fireworks help individual charities across multiple counties.
We accomplished this with an intense one week integrated campaign:
Multiple radio flights- with Key radio personality endorsements. Local personalities joined in for a "fireworks testing" party at the factory, then created a series of commercials talking about the fireworks they rated the best, and this year's firewprks specials. We also created onsite promotions at key stands with "100 free hot dogs" courtesy Parkers Hot Dogs, a "kickoff" day at Denios, plus Online marketing and contesting promoting the FREE "Toyota Tundra" listeners could sign up for at all official TNT fireworks stands.
