This is THE star filled show of the series! From 1984, Here is the complete 90 minute broadcast of Hot Rock's LIVE show direct from the  Bay Area Music Awards- or "Bammies". The video has been squeezed down to allow you to stream it, so quality is lower than the other videos in order to be able to post it for you.

Guests appearing and interviewed include Huey Lewis,  Journey, The Tubes, Night Ranger, Eric Martin Band, Members of Santana, The Jefferson Starship, Bam Magazine publisher Dennis Erokan (who allowed me to do "Music news from the pages of Bam Magazine" on the series) and many more. The show also features quick glimpses of performances from the Bammies as well. BAM magazine was the most influential and important bay area music magazine in the 80s, and the Bay Area music awards sprung from it. I don't think any  rock radio jock at the time went on the air (including me) in those days, without having read the latest Bam magazine from cover to cover!

Doing a TV show totally live, especially at an awards show, with rock stars and celebrities was an enormous amount of stress, and an enourmously fun  adrenaline rush. There were a couple missed cues, mic adjustments, etc which can be expected on a Live shoot. Looking back, I did an enourmous amount of prep before the show to have facts and content memorized. I was pretty young at the time of this show- and was just learning my craft. This was the biggest thing I had done yet in show business...what a blast!
