Steve's recorded lots of original music over the years. But long before he turned his hook writing skills into commercial jingles, Steve was playing concerts and clubs with "The Steve Garland Band". In the 80s, with his brother Don on Drums, and Guitarist Paul Covarelli, they recorded an Album of originals that focused on Rock , pop and lyrics with strong hooks. Here's a few of those tracks. You can almost hear the 80s coming out of your speakers....lots of stylized arrangements that were designed to sound like the music mix of the 80s- synthesizers, hand claps, double guitar leads and more.

One track that did get published was the "San Francisco Hot Rock" theme song. This track was written especially for Steve's ABC TV series, and used weekly in the opening and closing credits of the show.
